Rumor has it that Days 250 onward are rather rough. If you would like to double confirm names from translation, correct Japanese grammar into English grammar, or otherwise edit, feel more than free to do so.
Straight to the point: I'd like to help translating chapters and have already read your guide on 'How to'.. but as you stated there, one needs to have a computer with Windows 7 or 8 in order to download/use the app, while all I got is an Apple here. I've searched and noticed there are some apps related to translation compatible with the system I have.. Do you have any recommendations on other apps? Or maybe, any advices?
Unfortunately, the aggrigator is the best tool to use, otherwise i'd recommend utilizing several translation programs in order to ensure the highest quality of translation. Either that, or recruit a member of the public to utilize the aggrigator software for you, and you can do the cleaning of the material. If you need further advice, feel free to ask, i'll check more frequently for the next week or so.
Hi, I'm a translator from Shin Translations. I just made this acc to contact you for your comment about wanting someone to take over The New Gate Wikia.
Straight to the main point, I'm interested taking over the wikia and link it to my site so more people could contributes. I also wished to clean up that wikia, remove any cluttered contents, especially those Google Translate from the wikia.
I have no problems with giving you administor status on the Wikia.
It was my intent to pick up The New Gate with my team back in January, but when everyone, including the person I was working with to do the wikia, vanished, I ended up losing full interest. Well, that, and the Main character is highly overpowered, but lacks even the slightest capacity to claim his own work. I can accept the people who want to go home, but there's a limit to the extent of buzz kill that I can handle. I ended up deciding to do Toaru no Ossan vrmmo Katsudouki as the project i'll be doing after Re:Monster finishes up.
I'll head over there now and add your [Nellstewart] as an admin over there. The capacity for transfering ownership, however, lies with Oddysy who has since then left the wikia scene completely. Know that I have a higher level of admin, but can't give you the same level. I'm the bureaucrat when last I checked, so I can remove your administrator status if you happen to be either lying or have negative intent. (I don't know why you would with a almost 0% work invested wikia though ^^')
I only checked that wikia because I noticed someone actually picked that novel up, and it wouldn't be fair for someone who dropped it to leave the wikia in dire shape.
Thank you, I received the status. I was planning to create new wikia but this will save my time tremendously. I don't have any bad intentions; I just want to make the wikia, strictly a wiki, without Google translations or whatsoever. I know your lack of interest for The New Gate, but it wasn't fair to leave as it is for those who interested. I will start by deleting the translations in the novel section.
Again, thank you and cheers.
I was mostly going to translate and leave the Wikia to the community that spawned from it as well as to Oddysy. Since Oddysy left before the wikia's code was even finished, as well as me losing interest in the series, the development was abandoned.
Since I noticed that someone picked the series up, I left a note on the wikia for anyone that wanted to fix the wikia up. It wasn't fair, sure, but I simply did not have the time to manage a wikia for a translation project I wasn't even going to be picking up.
Hey White, so I spotted an unanswered comment of yours on the Active Novel Projects page, and to my knowledge, these are the World Teacher translators. Neither has shown any signs that you are planning to work with them, they seem to be progressing separately from each other as well.
Seems to be translated regularly, not machinated. Done a chapter a month.
Seems to be somewhat associated with Re:Translations (your favorite crowd :P). Doing his chapters at a much quicker pace, however. He has some things to say about his 'accuracy over English flow' and 'lack of editors', but w/e.
Could you tell me the link of RAW material of Re:Monster which you're currently using for translation? I've got one: http://remonster.reans.ca/novel.php Is this the same you're using now?
The reason for the asking is I reckon that we might use different RAW material since I realised that part of the English version might have translation issues, including detailed information missing or twisting and content self-creating. Take Day 107 as example, the English version seems telling different story compares to the RAW material.
It is better to inform the translators (Eg. Shintranslations) what you will be working on (E.g. Chapter 3, etc) before picking them up. You will be seeing the Clash of the Fans Movie if you continue this way.
It was going into the Reading room if I was going to do it anyway.
That section has plenty of notifications and the sort.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to continue sleeping off this Mexican flu my father gave me...
If you ask if the mentioning of the fact it's from Mexico matters, it means that It's not a flu I have had before, meaning it was enough that I had to go to several places for testing and medication. Quite the pain...
